- Find My Way Home
-
I wrote this song after college. I moved to California and didn't really know what I was going to try and make of my life. I started to reflect on my life growing up in Flint, Michigan and all things I had left behind and all the things to look forward to. Struggle, heartache, happiness and promise seemed to follow me all the way and, in the process, I Learned some valuable lessons about the tide of life.
- I Believe In You
-
There was (and I emphasize "was"), a guy in my life who was down and out emotionally and couldn't understand why nobody had any faith in him. He lost job after job and was really looking like a loser to an outsider. Well, I wrote this song for him to share my love and beliefs with him and inspire him to hang on; things will get better --AND THEY DID.
- Feeling The Rain
-
Aaaah, the bliss of love 'em and leave 'em! Until you're on the receiving end! Feeling the Rain is about the devastation of "I don't love you anymore" only to rise above the loss in which the rain that once beat so hard like steal pointed pins changes to a cleaning rain of rebirth that's all warm and good inside.
- The Lonely One
-
One day, on my way home from work, I took a real look around and saw a little more than I wanted to. What I saw inspired a melody that I want to share.
- Mama
-
My Mama passed on in January of 2005. There were so many unanswered questions running through my mind. I wrestled with those questions for months and was finally able to put my thoughts in a song that I am sure she will hear. Love you, Mama.
- All I Wanna Do
-
The days of simple love are so close to my heart. Remembering puppy love and watching that love mature to a life long commitment is great.
- Freeway Bound
-
This song signifies the journey that is taking place in my life at this point in time. I am headed out on the open road of Country music, never to look back and... I gotta tell ya, it's a hell of a ride.
- Kickin' Back
-
- Don't Come Cryin' To Me
-
When the love you once knew, trades you in for a new model... we know the story! Don't come crawlin' back when she does the same to you!
- Excited
-
Music and love are like cousins. When they come together, there is an inevitable level of excitement. The feeling is beautiful!
The lyrics for seven of the ten tracks were written by Miko Marks.
