Since Chris Gray hit the Louisiana/Mississippi Gulf Coast music scene in 1997, he has been tearing up the Clubs, Casinos and Dance Halls from Louisiana to Florida with his highly acclaimed shows and ever increasing loyal fan base. His first CD release, "Honestly", launched a career that started out with a few local clubs and radio stations, and has been a non-stop roller coaster ever since. In just the first year, Chris won the local, state and regional True Value/Jimmy Dean Country Showdowns (now known as the Colgate Country Showdown) and appeared on national TV at Universal Studios, Florida, representing the heavy hitting radio station WYNK 101.5 in Baton Rouge. His first big break came when he opened for George Strait, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Mark Wills, The Dixie Chicks and Martina McBride at the Louisiana Superdome for George Strait's "Straitland Festival". This got Chris' songs spinning on the radio and opened a lot of doors.
In the spring of 2004 Chris began recording his second album with Grammy Award winning producer, Ron Cornelius, and a cast of "A" list Nashville studio musicians. The CD, "From Where I Am" released in February 2005, immediately caught the attention of independent record label, Mirrome Records' president Rod Carter. Chris is currently licensed to Mirrome Records for distribution and promotion. The goal is to promote the new album nationally and assist Chris in moving to the next level.
